West Coast Amateur Football Club

Hear the mighty tigers roar

West Coast Amateur Football Club

Based at the picturesque City Beach Oval, a torpedo punt from Perth's best beach, West Coast AFC is one of the most successful clubs in the WAAFL competition, having won 32 premierships over the club's extended history.

With recently renovated clubrooms, match standard floodlights, great facilities and a positive club culture, the boys (and girls) from ol' West Coast are all set to add more flags to the premiership cupboard this season... Eat' em alive!

Our Mission

West Coast Amateur Football Club aims to provide recreational and sporting facilities for the benefit of the club's members, to promote the game of Australian Rules Football and encourage a positive culture and camaraderie in a family-friendly environment.

2015-2020 Strategic Plan

Our Programs

West Coast AFC supports participation for male and female footballers of all ages and abilities, as well as maintaining a positive club culture and community engagement.

In 2018 we are set to field four mens teams, with our top sides playing in the WAAFL's B League, B Reserves and  Drew Banfield Colts competitions, plus a social E Grade team. The club is also breaking new ground nominating a female football team to play in the first season of the WAAFL's Women's Football competition.

The development of our young players is crucial to the club's future. West Coast AFC invests heavily in our coaching staff and provide a structured "development pathway" for our players.

We maintain strong relationships with local junior clubs. Young Tigers players are encouraged to coach Junior teams, extending the player development pathway from Auskick to WAFL level.

West Coast AFC is committed to providing young women of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to enjoy our great game in a welcoming club environment.

A terrific group of girls  represented the Tigers last year in the Women’s Community Football Carnival with great success. We are all very excited about this new chapter for the club.

West Coast AFC celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in NAIDOC Week, and proudly recognises the important role Indigenous Australians play in our society and the game of Australian Rules Football.

In our annual NAIDOC Week game, players wear jumpers specially designed by Indigenous leaders within our playing group.

All players take part in volunteering activities outside of football, such as the City To Surf  which the club has supported for more than a decade with our major partners, Activ Foundation.

The club prides itself on strong values, nurturing leadership skills in the next generation and helping to develop our members into well-rounded young men and valued members of the community.
